I'm a software engineer. on 20th March I contacted Binance through bugcrowd, submitted a bug report for a bug I came across in Futures trading, gave them step by step guide on how to reproduce it and gave them my guess on what is going wrong and how to solve the issue. on 21th March they got back to me and said that my claim is not correct and everything works fine, when I literally attached a screenshot and gave them proof. Today Binance implemented exactly my solution without rewarding me through their bug bounty program. I've been slowly rotating all of my alts/shitcoins into Bitcoin since December and I've never slept better at night. I've amassed a sizeable bag which is of course in a self-custodied wallet. I have one alt left that I expect huge returns from over the next few months, at which point it will also be converted into Bitcoin. The only good use of an alt is to use it to obtain even more BTC than would otherwise be possible. I used to laugh at people like Michael Saylor, but now I see that they were right all along. I bought gold as protection against banks and inflation for the last 20 years, but now I have to admit that bitcoin is a better form of money than gold. I now have a 50/50 exposure to gold and BTC. I wouldn't be surprised if over time bitcoin will take over my entire portfolio. It has been difficult to convince other gold bugs that they should at-least buy some bitcoin. And these are the people that understand sound money and why we need it. It is even harder to convince my friends and family that don't understand money at all and are still living the fiat experience. Yes i was dumb enough back then to keep my coins in their website, i was trading a lot and left 3.3 BTC in mt.gox when it was "hacked". Enormous engineering effort has gone into making the bitcoin network resilient to attack. We encourage people to run their own nodes. This, by itself, prevented the corporate attack of big blockers. We make sure that nodes can still run over TOR. We have the ability to download the blockchain from satellites.
