I know this sounds crazy, But I actually SPENT some bitcoin.

You know - spending it like a currency, like what it was designed for. If everyone hodls forever and tries to use it as an investment, which it is not, it won't become anything more than what it is now - a gamble. Spend it, give the world a reason to use it. If something has no use it has no value.

EDIT: Apparently some people believe I had some secondary motives for posting this, some kind of hidden message or something. This is not true. let me be perfectly transparent. This post was intended to show my belief that everyone on this sub just buys bitcoin and holds onto it so they can talk about the price. I never see any posts about ways people use their bitcoin other than for "investing" or posts talking about price predictions, which is ridiculous. This is a very common view on the bitcoin community, all 4 of the shop owners in my city that have Bitcoin ATMs think that's what bitcoin is; something millenials believe to be an investment. I would like to reiterate, if you are buying and holding bitcoin JUST because you believe it will be worth more money someday you are by definition - gambling, regardless of what you think you "know". Don't get me wrong, I also believe BTC will be worth a lot more money someday, but that doesn't change the fact that you would be better off using your savings to invest in mutual funds if your only reason for buying BTC is an investment. Use a small amount of BTC as a hedge, sure (1-2% of your savings max) but don't pour your entire investment portfolio into something that really only has 2-3 years of active trading history. Warren Buffet didn't get rich in Las Vegas.
