One of the most popular membership site management tools, aMember, now supports BTCPay! :)

Hey everyone! :)

I just wanted to let everyone know that one of the best membership/e-commerce software packages now supports BTCPay! I chose to go with this software years ago when I started the world's first Bitcoin-only porn membership site because they supported BitPay. At the time it was hard to find software that would properly manage a membership site that could handle Bitcoin payments, so for a while I was just activating each and every membership manually. BitPay was great because they could handle the payment process, but I still had to take care of everything else myself. I didn't use their service of converting Bitcoin to fiat automatically, and I didn't like how towards the end they kept upping the minimum auto-payout (in Bitcoin) to my wallet. It was especially annoying since in the beginning just one or two memberships would hit their limit, but as the Bitcoin price kept going up it started being 10 or more subscriptions before I would get a withdrawal, so they would hold onto the Bitcoin! Then of course one day I get an email saying that because my content is adult in nature, that they would no longer allow me to use them! In the beginning they were happy to take us on, even helping us set everything up and being supportive while knowing what we do! It was sad to see them fall to fiat pressures :(

Then Nicolas Dorier (/u/NicolasDorier) announced that he was forking BitPay so it could be self hosted by merchants! This got me so excited, I joined the slack channel and even got to speak with Nicolas a few times while he helped me try setting up my own server! At first aMember couldn't communicate properly with BTCPay because it relied on legacy api commands that BTCPay no longer maintained, so I paid the aMember developers to produce a direct integration to BTCPay! After a few weeks everything was ready, and I was finally able to automatically accept Bitcoin transactions on my site again! This means anyone who uses aMember can now use BTCPay to accept payments automatically! :)

I can't say enough good things about BTCPay! I love how it pays out directly to my wallet for every sale! It handles over payments, under payments, and late payments way better than BitPay ever did! Setting up the server was super easy, and it even supports Lightning Network payments! I love how BTCPay is designed to handle multiple stores, making it super easy to build more sites in my network, and make it easy for my models to accept cryptocurrency payments and manage their own wallets! One of my favorite little touches is the inclusion of an altcoin autoconverter, so now my site is ready if you ever want to easily dump some BTrash! ;)

So I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Nicolas and everyone who worked to make BTCPay a reality! You guys are the real ones pushing the crypto space forward with solutions like this, and I can't wait to see more wasteful corporations fall to simpler open-source self hosted distributed solutions!
