Friendly Reminder: Running a bitcoin full node + lightning node is mainly done for helping the bitcoin network become more robust, decentralized and build the future of finance, NOT TO EARN BITCOIN!

Title says it all, there are too many people asking if they can earn money by running a lightning node and altho you can earn some pennies that should be the least of your concerns. Lightning is rapidly increasing cuz its easy, fast, fun and cheap not because it makes you money.

Edit/ hey guys i think some of you are missing the point of the post. I have seen lately in this sub many new redditors asking if a lightning node will make them any money and that shouldnt be (IMHO) the the first question you want to ask youself before running a lightning node...

15 years of BTC Power Law

5 years ago I made a post in this subreddit showing that BTC is a power law: Price=A*days^n, (days from Genesis Block), n=5.8. Many didn't believe me and said the past doesn't predict the future. Well, after 5 years it turns out that BTC continues its power law behavior with similar exponent. A power law is not another formula or model but the same mathematical behavior behind river formation, mountains growth, cities development, GDP vs population, and metabolic rate. Everything important is ruled by power laws, so BTC. BTC is a force of Nature.
