Why does the average person hate Bitcoin so much?

I can understand why those who benefit from the current financial system hate Bitcoin as it is a potential threat to them. But why do some many average people hate it? The current system offers them wage stagnation at best and a lifetime of being in debt. Actually, not only being in debt, but millennials are drowning in debt with little hope (besides Bitcoin) of escaping. Bitcoin offers a better alternative, but most people still have a negative opinion on it.

Edit: Why is it when ever someone asks a question on this sub, they are always downvoted? Am I not allowed to ask questions?
