This is why we HODL: In a zero-sum game such as this, traders can only take your money if you sell.

HODL is a term derived from a misspelling of "hold" that refers to buy-and-hold strategies in the context of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The term HODL (or hodl) originated in 2013 with a post to the bitcointalk forum. The price of bitcoin had surged to a high of over $1,100 at the beginning of December 2013 from under $15 in January 2013 . In the 24 hours to 10:00 a.m. UTC, Dec. 18 – possibly in response to reports of a Chinese crackdown – the price of bitcoin fell 39%, to $438 from $716, according to CoinDesk's bitcoin price index. What is HODLING? At 10:03 a.m. UTC on Dec. 18, GameKyuubi posted "I AM HODLING," a drunk, semi-coherent, typo-laden rant about his poor trading skills and determination to simply hold his bitcoin from that point on. "I type d that tyitle twice because I knew it was wrong the first time. Still wrong. w/e," he wrote about the now-famous misspelling of "holding." "WHY AM I HOLDING? I'LL TELL YOU W

If my bank is so concerned about me losing money investing in bitcoin how come they don't show the same concern for me losing money in online gambling?

Today I received a notice on my banking app about the dangers of investing in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Naturally my first thought was "Fuck you, I'll spend my money any way I want" . But this got me thinking. Online gaming is a big problem. It's highly addictive and destructive and breaks up marriages and families. Addicts often can't pay their bills and mortgages and their children often go hungry as a result of this vice. Yet I've never once received a warning from my bank alerting me to the dangers of it. I've also never had any payments to betting / gaming sites stopped or questioned by my bank. I place the odd bet from time to time. So how come they are so concerned about me losing money investing in bitcoin when it's been the best performing asset of the last 10 years, outperforming every stock on the planet, whereas gambling almost always results in losing everything? What's their angle? Submitted June 01, 2021 at 12:57AM by odo

I'm so sick of the energy argument

Everywhere I go people put down crypto for its energy consumption. I'm fucking sick of it. Every day people sit at home, run their heat or their a/c. Watch videos of stupid shit. Ride their car around. They do all these things which burn energy. 90% of it is completely for themselves, their survival and most of all their pleasure and comfort. AndI'm fine with that, I do it too. But I hate that all of that is just taken for granted, no questions needed. Why in the name of sweet fuck is bitcoin the one thing people care about the consumption of? Nobody ever questions the intrinsic value of energy until needs start creating coins? Nobody ever breaks down the energy consumption of their daily life because they would reveal the fact they are wasteful. We've never heard anyone question how much energy the financial system uses until bitcoin started getting shit on. Ive never heard someone question the consumption of Twitter and whether or not that is a necessary service in thi

"India bans Bitcoin!" Uh, NO. "China bans Bitcoin" Uh, NO. "Nigeria bans Bitcoin" Uh, NO. It's an endless shitstorm as moneyed interests close to the dollar spigot finally see Bitcoin for what it is: A direct threat to monetary expansion and Central bank authority. Put your shields up, and prepare.

I am amazed at how quickly the authorities have "awoken" to the Apex Predator in the room. I have always known why I'm in Bitcoin. For me, it has always been around the following core values: Decentralized, with no controlling authority. A finite supply. Freedom from banks and debasement of what I've worked hard to acquire. Saifedeen Ammous says without hesitation in "The Bitcoin Standard" that Bitcoin is a direct threat to Central Banks. Many of us have danced around this issue, and tried to downplay where Bitcoin is going. Even Saylor is careful to couch his answer to the repeated question, "Is Bitcoin a threat to currencies and the Central Bank?" I used to answer the same question with, "The Central banks, and especially the FED, are too moribund and slow; hell, they can't even understand how--or the how important it is--to implement a CBDC." There is no doubt in my mind the authorities are fully awake now, and in attack mode.

India just unbanned Bitcoin (today)

It has come to our attention through media reports that certain banks/ regulated entities have cautioned their customers against dealing in virtual currencies by making a reference to the RBI circular DBR.No.BP.BC.104/08.13.102/2017-18 dated April 06, 2018. Such references to the above circular by banks/ regulated entities are not in order as this circular was set aside by the Hon’ble Supreme Court on March 04, 2020 in the matter of Writ Petition (Civil) No.528 of 2018 (Internet and Mobile Association of India v. Reserve Bank of India). As such, in view of the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the circular is no longer valid from the date of the Supreme Court judgement , and therefore cannot be cited or quoted from. https://rbi.org.in/Scripts/NotificationUser.aspx?Id=12103&Mode=0 Submitted May 31, 2021 at 07:35PM by simplelifestyle https://ift.tt/3vGEN1C

it has a strong consensus protocol called "Proof of force" Everybody has to use it and anyone who would try to compete goes to jail or worse. You cannot attack it unless you have more power than the most powerful army on the globe. . . Edit: clarification I think instead of attacking it it can be rendered obsolete by a superior coin which has better properties and cannot be stopped by force thanks to its decentralisation. PoW - those who provide work gets the coins we want to buy and use voluntarily. PoF - those who are friends with the owner of the shitcoin get the coins and we all must use it or we get punished I Submitted May 30, 2021 at 08:35AM by Emotional-Bunny-Hat https://ift.tt/3wK93Ji

This dip is hard proof that we are still early in Bitcoin.

This dip is hard proof that we are still early in Bitcoin. Many people still don't understand that Bitcoin is king of all assets and those with Bitcoin are still early. How do we know this? The fact that people are selling, and selling because of mostly the same FUD we've heard since the dawn of Bitcoin. FUD such as China says X, US politician says Y and some bi-polar billionaire says BTC destroys the planet whilst holding $1.5b worth. If anyone thinks Bitcoin is going to <$10,000 and will vanish off the face of the Earth does not understand Bitcoin and does not care about protecting themselves from tyrants, inflation amongst many other things. As someone who has a fairly large amount of their net worth in Bitcoin, am I surprised by this dip? At first, I'll admit, I was quite shocked. We've seen more institutions hop on Bitcoin, like Microstrategy, which refuses to sell a single Satoshi despite this dip. We've seen billionaire gold bugs like Ray Dalio announ

Bitcoin is not a 1, 4, or X year investment. Bitcoin is a lifetime+ investment.

I have read too many posts about the dip, about investing too aggressively, and about investing irresponsibly to stay silent. Bitcoin is not a short term investment. Bitcoin is not a medium term investment. Bitcoin is a lifetime+ investment. Crypto is an emerging market. It may have as monumental effects as the internet. But, the internet was not built in a day, and neither will be crypto. Indeed, even certain effects of the internet are yet to be realized. Many people focus on the stock-to-flow model or the 4-year halvening cycle. These do not matter. Even this year, we've seen significantly different behaviour than predicted. Still, this is a drop in the ocean of finance. Bitcoin recently had significant price movement based only on a tweet from Elon Musk. This is not a robust, well-established market. Bitcoin (and all crypto) is still far from its true value. It is painfully obvious that our grandchildren will use some cryptocurrency as their primary store of value and curr

I could only laugh because they’re going to miss out big.

As a college student I work on my weekends to save up money. I save enough for tuition and basic costs and the rest is dedicated to sats. I learned about crypto and bitcoin this year and I fell in love with it. Since then almost everything I have earned has been exchanged for sats. For most of the year I was at a pretty big profit until this last huge correction. I have told my “friends” about my large position in crypto and they never said a single thing to me when I was in the green. As soon as Bitcoin and the crypto world crashes, immediately they are asking me how much I’m down, telling me the risks involved, and laughing at me for believing so strongly in a “over valued online coin”. All I could do is just look at them and laugh. I know damn well when Bitcoin gets past this slump and to 100k+, they are going to be asking me for help buying some. Be careful who you tell about your crypto exposure as not all “friends” are deserving of your knowledge. Edit: I appreciate all of th

PSA, if you're clicking on and sharing bitcoin fud articles, you're part of the problem.

Literally, the only reasons hack "journalists" keep writing fud articles is because of the click traffic their shitty reporting receives. Stopping this trend is even easier than voting with your wallet, simply stop clicking on bunk, fud articles. Edit. This post is not directed at bitcoin price as a few people have misinterpreted it of being, I don't think fud affects bitcoins price as much as people think it does as every bull run in the past has always been riddled with fud much worse than this, bitcoin is doing exactly what it always does and is having a mid bull run shake out. To clarify, I'm tired of the internet being flooded with click bait articles and poorly researched articles for the sake of browser traffic. It's at this link. A quote: "I think it became pretty clear that we, the Bitcoiners, have a good story, but it's a very complicated story. And we need to find a way to share our story and to educate [...] My first thought was there is no point in us tweeting back and forth at each other because I don't think a 288-character twitters are right ways to educate the public and build consensus. "So I reached out to Elon and I spoke with him and we had a very long conversation and [...] I asked him if he had relationship or had met with Bitcoin miners [...] Elon [...] said we would all benefit if we were able to publish energy usage and sources of energy usage data. It turns out that Bitcoin miners don't actually have a good form for communicating how they generate their energy. We don't have a shared common model for energy usage right now. [...] "I asked Elon if he had relationships with the miners and he said he'd like to meet them, so I reached

Dad got his crypto stolen - You can't protect people from themselves.

I just need to vent right now. I got my dad turned onto Bitcoin and he ended up with a sizeable chunk on coinbase, right? He gets his passwords compromised at least once a year, so being the dutiful son that I am, I buy him a trezor and my wife and I help him set it up. He's a little upset that he can't check his balance all the time, but I assure him it's much safer in his trezor that's sitting in his closet safe than it is on coinbase. Fast forward to yesterday. I'm on vacation and he calls me asking why his trezor pin doesn't work. He tells me, "it already had me put in all 24 of those damn passwords, why won't it work?". I told him over and over and over when I set up his trezor and the seed phrase. "Dad, don't type this in anywhere, don't even take a photo of it". And what does he do the first time he tries to use his trezor himself? I am so angry and frustrated right now it's kinda ruining my vacation. You cannot s

PSA: Nodes have more control over the protocol than miners

I see a lot of exaggerated reactions to the news that some rich folks are talking about some green mining cartel. It leads me to believe many here don't understand who decides what makes Bitcoin, well, Bitcoin. The gist of it is this: if they want to self-impose some rules regarding mining (more specifically: the energy source used), let them go ahead, because it won't have an effect on the protocol level. Bitcoin is the term used for many different parts of the Bitcoin machine. It describes both the ecosystem, the token, the network, the protocol, etc. Bitcoin is not something straightforward, which makes it so difficult to explain in layman's terms. Rather it is a balanced act of several different concepts, technical, economical and political. The role of a miner is very different from that of a node. Unfortunately many here fail to understand this difference and attribute way too much power and control to the miners, while it is in fact the nodes that ultimately deci

Tesla likely bought its $1.5 billion in bitcoin at about $34,700 a piece. Elon didn't say anything about it

For those of you who wipe Elon Musk floor. Tesla has been caught up in the bloodbath it helped create. According to a recent article in Fortune, Tesla likely bought its $1.5 billion in bitcoin at about $34,700 a piece. In the company's Q1, Tesla's bitcoin stash was the best performing part of the carmaker's business. Now, unless there is a recovery in the price of bitcoin between now and July 1, Tesla shareholders should brace themselves for an impairment in the company's Q2 earnings report. The energy narrative is looking more and more like a power play against Bitcoin

Imagine if someone measured the amount of energy everyone on the planet used to surf reddit then equated that with the amount of pollution generated by energy companies in order to service that habit; then decided that it's the users of reddit who are at fault for that pollution. That's the argument being used against bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining today. Now Micheal Saylor and Elon Musk are showing support for the creation of a 'council' to regulate the energy usage around crypto mining. Before thinking this is a good idea, keep in mind that imposing licensing who can and cannot mine to secure a system no one owns, was built to be decentralized and placed into the hands of everyone, and allows people to earn money with minimal upfront investment and almost no labor, completely undermines all of the benefits of such a system and makes the network more vulnerable to manipulation by private interests. All of this backed on the pretense of a study that was not peer-re

Stop the conspiracy theory, the Bitcoin Mining Council is a Publicity Stunt to adress environmental concerns

Basically, it's anti-FUD, doesn't support centralisation (because NODES quarantee decentralisation!) and is ultimately no different to some Mining Pool saying they're using green energy. Which is something that should be encouraged to silence the press bullshit and make Bitcoin more appealing to the concerned public. Climate change and green energy usage IS a big deal and if the public thinks it's a dirty coal coin, that's going to hamper adoption massively, like it or not. The idea that this would cause two different Bitcoins, one that's green and one that isn't and therefore is worth less, is at this point a weird conspiracy theory. There's ways to address that, like making Bitcoin more anonymous and less trackable, which should happen anyway (Taproot already does that, to an extent). Basically, if there's issues arising in the future, we can rightfully critisize them, but so far this is just good publicity and freaking out over it seems weird.

Dear "Green Mining Council", Last time someone tried to make a "better" bitcoin was Bitcoin Cash. Go fork yourself and see what happens. No centralized mining regulation. home miners forever. open pools forever. no "green mining certified tax". no Rabbi blessing fees for Kosher mining.

It's just too perfect for him not to. I'm now seeing the trend of the new investors making Elon Musk some kind of ruler of Bitcoin. If you're investing in Bitcoin because of Elon Musk's tweet, sadly you're now diverted from the true purpose of Bitcoin to liberate people out from individuals, institutions and government control.

Why are people reluctant to admit a bear market?

You'd think people here would want to be realistic about the asset, but instead they hop on this insane bandwagon of crazy denial! In my opinion, we are absolutely in a bear market. It's fine to admit it, it's worse to deny it. Bitcoin isn't magic, it will always have bulls and bears like every single other asset. It's more helpful to discuss it rather than to treat is a god who does no wrong! This isn't a place where we can discuss the market anymore, it's just an intense bullish echo chamber. I get the optimism, but it prevents realistic conversation. Anyone who tries to discuss the bear run is downvoted for some reason. I understand no one wants to talk about a bitcoin w inter but it is inevitable, I just can't understand why people are reluctant to see it's possible we're in one. I want to start by thanking every person who have helped by sending funds to this project. Because of you, we were able to help hundreds of people in our community with food. This week we delivered 1.1 tons of food to families in vulnerable situations. This has been only possible because of your contributions in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.. We all are very happy and proud of what we've achieved so far. And I wish to continue to do this. Thank you for your help by sharing and sending funds to buy food for these people. Good news from Germany

Ignore the fake FUD and focus on the real news. Bitcoin just gets stronger every day. A new German law could theoretically bring as much as €350 billion (~$425 billion) of institutional investment into the cryptocurrency market, financial newspaper Boersen Zeitung reported. The report cites analysis by Sven Hildebrandt, CEO of Distributed Ledger Consulting (DLC). The bill, which was approved by Germany’s parliament last week, is expected to take effect on July 1 if it is approved by the upper house, the Bundesrat. Under the legislation, wealth and institutional investment fund managers, known as Spezialfonds (special funds), will be able to invest up to 20% of their portfolio in crypto. If they all did so to the 20% limit, nearly $425 billion would move from other assets into crypto, based on the total assets under management (AUM) of such funds in Germany. The legislation could prove a significant development for wider acceptance of crypto institutional investment ac

The Crypto Fear and Greed index is now at 12 (extreme fear). It has only dropped to this level five times in the past this cycle. So lets look at those dates, and look at the bitcoin price at that point and see whether each time presented a good buying opportunity.

For those you aren't aware, the Crypto Fear and Greed index uses 5-6 measurements to assess the current sentiment of the market and then rates that level of emotion on a scale of 1 to 100. 1 is extreme fear and 100 is extreme greed. Those measurements are objective of course - they look at volatility, social media, momentum, dominance, google trends and (now paused) surveys. Here is the link to the site, you can look at the chart, click "max" and you will see a movement of the index since the start of 2018. https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/ In theory, the idea should be that in cases of extreme fear, the market is terrified and panic selling, and it is a good buying opportunity. When the market is in a state of extreme greed, people are getting extreme fomo and buying regardless of the elevated prices. Hopefully you get the picture. There is a lot of movement in the chart but it is the extreme fear and greed regions that interest me - specifically

To all who are wondering what happened, Chinese government just announced sanctions against crypto mining and transactions in a top-level conference.

I received notification from a Chinese finance news app. Although Chinese government has been opposing crypto transaction for years, it’s quite vague. The tone of wording this time is quite strong, like punishing on such activities. Before, they only said such activities are not allowed. I think it could explain why all cryptos are dipping at the same time. Perhaps all the investors, especially institutions, are dumping their coins. Also, I believe Musk must have known such sanctions were in progress, that’s why he stopped Bitcoin transaction for Tesla to kiss the Chinese government ass. That’s a huge market for Tesla, and electric car companies are rising in China. Submitted May 21, 2021 at 07:43PM by KennyCav0125 https://ift.tt/3wtKUXj

To all those who panic sold or got liquidated

Yesterday, there was a post on r/cryptocurrency about someone that killed himself after being liquidated in the big dip. Please guys, don't worry and don't be hard on yourself, you just made a mistake, use it to learn from it. Try to learn about the technology and the history of bitcoin and why it is better than the current system. Yes, most of us are here because of the money, not because we want to be rich as soon as possible (not gonna lie, it would be amazing), but because we believe that the current financial system is screwed and it's just a matter of time before it collapses, at least to me this belief is what makes me HODL. So once again, don't be hard on yourself, money comes and go but your life is precious and unique. If you are having problems please reach to someone, hell even I can talk with you if you need it. Be careful with your investment and don't invest more than what you can afford to lose, and please don't use leverage! Submitted Ma

Yes, pardon the strangely titled thread. I believe more in the fundamentals of bitcoin than any other cryptocurrency on the planet. The "meta shift" I have seen over the past 7 months bothers me. Nobody wants to talk about bitcoin. Nobody wants to discuss mass adoption of bitcoin. Nobody wants to talk about liberating the Lebanese freelance artist or the Iranian just trying to buy games on steam or the village in rural Kenya that is located a 3-hour-walk away from the closest bank. Nobody wants to talk about DLCs and smart contracts on bitcoin or the best non-custodial lightning network wallets. No one is talking about taproot. No one is talking about how the creator of bitcoin never sold his coins. People are forgetting the first cryptocurrency that was ever created. People are forgetting metcalfes law. What I find ultimately more disturbing is that during the 2018-2020 bear market more people were talking about / cared to talk about bitcoin than altcoins. It just feels

Is this really what a safe haven asset looks like?

So let me get this straight, at the first sign of bad inflation data, and a few unruly tweets from a celebrity billionaire, bitcoin loses like 40% of it's value? How can we possibly continue calling bitcoin a safe haven asset? Safe haven assets do not behave like this. They are stable. They are resilient when uncertainty runs higher. That's what makes them safe havens. What we are experiencing here is what a highly leveraged speculative asset looks like. The myth that crypto and BTC will save us when the financial system struggles is the biggest crock of shit I have ever heard. We have all convinced ourselves to believe in a load of bogus to keep the gravy train rolling. I am sure this will get down voted to oblivion, but the proof is in the pudding. Finally reached 0.1 BTC!!!!!!

I know this is not exactly a large amount but it is all I can afford at the moment. I am still at university and as such don't exactly have much free cash. I have been dollar cost averaging just buying regular amounts every month for around a year now. I have achieved a nice return on my investments so far and was more than happy to buy the recent dip at around $42,000. Back to the fact that 0.1 BTC being a small amount. If you believe that BTC will be the money of the future, only 210 million people maximum could have 0.1 BTC and in reality it is likely going to be much less than that. So I am more than happy to be part of this relatively small club! Just remeber if you are on this reddit forum then you are still early and it is definitely not too late to buy!! Also I intend to maintain my diamond hands for many years to come! 💎💎💎💎💎 Submitted May 19, 2021 at 02:10AM by CoinCollector567 https://ift.tt/3tXZ15v

The founder of Bitcoin will receive a life-size statue in Budapest

The article is in hungarian, but as the title says the founder of Bitcoin will receive a life-size statue in Budapest, Hungary. The statue won’t have a face, instead there will be a mirror from which everybody will see it’s own face, as an idea voiced by many “We are all Satoshi”. https://index.hu/mindekozben/poszt/2021/05/17/eletnagysagu-szobrot-kap-budapesten-a-bitcoin-alapitoja/ Submitted May 18, 2021 at 01:06PM by Addy25th https://ift.tt/33UMN2N

This dip is PROOF that "I wish I would've bought Bitcoin at X price" is nonsense and NO you would NOT be rich, you'd be Poorer!

How many times have you heard it? I wish I had bought Bitcoin when it was $1, $100, $1000, etc! I would be RICH today! If I had bought in 2019, I'd have a MILLION DOLLARS TODAY!!! NO....you'd be POORER today and this Dip is the proof! Look at all the FUD, in this sub, in the r/CryptoCurrency sub it's no different, nothing but FUD and despair....Bitcoin is FINISHED! Musk Killed it! Imagine believing ONE man can literally bring down Bitcoin, imagine believing for the 1,078th time that THIS is the true DEATH of Bitcoin! I'm still new to Bitcoin....I first bought in on December 2020 when the price was around 25,000....so I'm not an expert, I still have NOT experienced to truly BIG 50% or higher dips....but even as a newbie, I GET IT....you HODL, you DCA, you buy the Dips, you remain PATIENT, and you DO NOT Panic Sell! I thought EVERYONE knew this....especially in the goddamn Bitcoin sub where so many people love to brag how they've been in Bitcoin for a &quo

Everyone acting like there hasn’t been dips like this during a bitcoin bull market

This is the worst dip we’ve seen yet this cycle, but we’ve seen lots worse in previous cycles and bitcoin still came back to rally when the time came. Be patient. one bad thing happens and everyone seems to forget the long game. This is exactly how they want you to react so they can have your bitcoin. People being derogatory to people who bought in near the top are the worst pieces of hypocritical shit I can imagine

And I am seeing this. Don't tell me I'm not. If you're a proponent of bitcoin, and you ridicule people who bought when the price was booming, you're a complete and total piece of shit. I think I despise this community. They aren't honest with themselves, which is about the only thing I ask of people. For the record, I bought my graphics cards either at MSRP or off of people who didn't know what they had and sold me for "fair used" prices. I've made back what I spent and converted it into cash. I had to, so I could tell people that and not be lying. My modest operation is entering pure profit mode. Moving forward, I haven't decided what I'll do with what I make now. Probably hold since it's just a free 30 bucks of bitcoin a day. See where it goes. I'm not going to invest cash in this until I know what we're dealing with. To all the crypto newbies like myself - if you invested what you can afford to lose and plan to hold for a long time, you have no reason to be worried! Here is my personal experience:

I started buying crypto this January and my portfolio already doubled which made me greedy and super scared of any dip as I thought this could be the next bear market. It eventually led me to try day trading and I quickly lost $1500 because I was blinded by imagining myself driving a lambo. The lesson I’ve learnt is that as long as you invest what you can afford to lose and buy crypto that you believe in, you can stay calm even during dips or a brutal bear attack. I FOMOed into several coins that ever having their moment but ended up selling them because I didn’t have confidence in holding them for months or years to come. There is only few now, with Bitcoin in the lead, that I really believe will have a tremendous value in the future. That’s why right now I keep my coins in interest accounts (I know - not my key not my crypto) and trying to use all the extra cash I have to buy the dip. I might not make 100x profits this year or ever in my life from crypto but my short journey has

Every time whales and institutions sell to manipulate the market we need to punish them by buying.

If everyone came together and started buying the dip we’d force these mfs to buy at a loss. Instead of everyone panic selling and doing what they want. We’ve seen this play out before. A year from now, we will look back on May 2021 and say “I should have bought the dip.”

I’ve been involved in crypto for a long time. Whenever it comes to a point where people are buying and selling based on tweets, the market corrects. A year or two later, those corrections never mattered. Bitcoin is bigger than any one person or company. How many posts have we made here where we “should have bought” at $200? $1000? $3000? $10000?? These dips don’t matter, either you believe in bitcoin long term or you don’t. And if you’re going to sell based on one man’s tweets, maybe you should buy something else instead. Anybody else feel relieved this dip finally happened?

I hate the feeling but at the same time I'm relieved it finally happened. We all knew a 30% dip was coming. If not now it would have happened at $100K. Probably will happen at $100K! This price action is totally normal for bitcoin, my resilience atrophies during the bull runs. Submitted May 17, 2021 at 06:44AM by CyberMonkey728 https://ift.tt/3uWQ3Xp

This is not a war. Chill out or you'll turn it into one!

Elon, alt coins, BTC, stocks, manipulation. Blah blah blah blah blah. Has everyone forgotten what they came here for? I'm from the USA and it's a two party system for a reason: to keep us divided. Reddit is an international means of communication, yet I see so much division. Division and distraction is the goal, to make us angry and confused. Is that what you want to be, angry and confused? You're all doing a good job at it. Do not let "the powers that be" sway you from your life goals. Invest and hold. Rinse and repeat. Stop putting blame on outside personalities, and live the life you choose to live. Pay yourself first. Listen to yourself first, and no one else. Why Elon trashing Bitcoin is great news

I will just sum up the facts: Tesla has problems with Chinese Gov (where most bitcoin miners are located). Tesla shares have been falling for months. Coinbase was the most downloaded app in the AppStore a couple of weeks ago. Drukenmiller questioned the central banks actions, said the US dollar was going to lose the status reserve in less than 15 years and crypto was the answer for such irresponsible policies. Investment banks (GS, JPM) are going to begin to commercialize crypto investment products to their clients but these products won't be available until Q3-Q4 2021. So now, why would Elon Musk changed his tune about bitcoin? Well I bet there could be several reasons: US Gov using him to scare the shit out of new unexperienced investors given that FUD tactics haven't worked until now because they want to prevent crypto adoption as a means of payment as they would lose control of money. Corporate investors and investment banking using him to sink the price so that
