Is 0.1 Bitcoin good to buy a Hardware wallet?

People say you should take custody of your Bitcoins. I have accumulated 0.1 Bitcoin and have it on an exchange. Should I buy a hardware wallet? I also have the fear of losing the key phrase but that we cannot avoid.

Is Safepal wallet a good hardware wallet? I think it is cheap and has a good number of features.

BACKGROUND Segregated Witness (SegWit) was activated on the Bitcoin network August 24 2017 as a soft fork that is backward compatible with previous bitcoin transactions ( Understanding Segregated Witness ). Since that time wallets and exchanges have been slow to deploy SegWit, and the majority of users have not made the switch themselves. On Dec 18 2017 Subhan Nadeem has pointed out that: If every transaction in the Bitcoin network was a SegWit transaction today, blocks would contain up to 8,000 transactions, and the 138,000 unconfirmed transaction backlog would disappear instantly. Transaction fees would be almost non-existent once again .
