I suck at DCA'ing (just a rant)

I've been DCA'ing for years. You'd think I'd be good at it by now, just calmly riding the ups and downs.

When the price pumps, I get all excited and FOMO buy more and more as it rises.

Then when it dumps, I get all excited and FOMO buy more and more as it sinks.

I'm quite disciplined in other areas. Diet, exercise, career, education, etc. But when it comes to Bitcoin, I just lose my shit. I need help.

BACKGROUND Segregated Witness (SegWit) was activated on the Bitcoin network August 24 2017 as a soft fork that is backward compatible with previous bitcoin transactions ( Understanding Segregated Witness ). Since that time wallets and exchanges have been slow to deploy SegWit, and the majority of users have not made the switch themselves. On Dec 18 2017 Subhan Nadeem has pointed out that: If every transaction in the Bitcoin network was a SegWit transaction today, blocks would contain up to 8,000 transactions, and the 138,000 unconfirmed transaction backlog would disappear instantly. Transaction fees would be almost non-existent once again .
