We really shouldn't let our guard down with western governments regarding base layer censorship

some have pointed out that heavy-handed PoS censorship would require validators not to attest to "bad" blocks, and that this has no analog in PoW. but it does! every pow miner has to mine off the current head, which effectively includes a hash signature of every prev tx

in such a heavy handed scenario, the censor that views PoS attestation as violation would also view building on an illegal chain head as violation
