Why would any normal person adopt Bitcoin?

Title says it all. I'm very skeptical of the real-world value of cryptocurrency for a number of reasons. From an outsider's perspective, it practically looks like gambling and speculation in the form of "hodling" or whatever you call it. Why would a middle or upper class person in a first world country (aka the largest group of people with the most spending power on a global level) adopt bitcoin over fiat currency?

I do see its use for people in countries undergoing political and economic crises, but I don't see widespread use of it beyond that.
