Can we please not let the lntip bot turn this sub into a place for people to try to moon farm?

I’ve been seeing a lot of people posting about how cool the lntip bot is lately. I love the feature, especially since it is an incredible way to promote quality content on this sub and also exercise the Lightning Network! However, I’m seeing a lot of posts and comments that just scream “give me sats!”

I don’t know, am I the only one that is seeing this?

For example, I‘ve seen people post about how all of a sudden the lntip feature makes them SO excited to go all in on BTC. Like what!? That’s what did it for you!? I’ve also seen a lot of people ask how the bot works. IMO these types of posts/comments are just attempts to try and get people to throw sats their way.

If you don’t know, “moon farming” has turned the r/cryptocurrency sub into a place that receives literally hundreds of posts/comments each day… just to try and receive moon rewards via upvotes.

Edit: To clarify, I’m not advocating for us to stop using the lntip bot. Not at all. Sats all around! I’m just saying that I’m seeing a lot of posts/comments that seem to be going out of their way to try and get tips from this community.
