Gary Gensler "We dont need more digital currency" comment

Sorry if this was already talked about, but I was out of reach. And... I just heard Gery Gensler comments regarding the lawsuits, specially this one "we dont need more digital currency, we have the dollar, euro...."

This comment in my view is amazing; good and bad. It shows clear intent to what is going to go down. No doubts now, if any before. Crypto does not belong in the US, and it is under attack. I dont know... probably he was instructed to do so (higher ups of course). All the fillings or registration requirements or request by SEC were ignore for a reason; it was intended to reach this point after SEC dropped conversations about regulation.

In my mind is like:

we dont need email, we have USPS (mail)

we dont need internet, we phones and cars

We dont need cars, we have horses.

We dont need boats, we can swin.

Now, is Gary Gensler reeeeally against crypto... or is he trying to help out? to the cost of his carrer? I have the feeling he is destroying his carrer to help. In my head, there is no possibility someone with his curriculum, carreer, position... (having apply to be at Binance) would manage the situation like this, specially that interview, comments like that.
