Kraken withdrawal fee still at "temporary" 20x increase
The mempool is pretty much back to normal, sitting pretty at 10 sat/vB or about $0.43...
So whats up with Kraken still keeping the BTC withdrawal fee at over $6?
They promptly increased the fee because of the congested mempool few months ago, bringing it from 1000 sats to 20,000 sats, a 20-fold increase. And here we are now, still having to massively overpay for our withdrawals, even though it's nowhere near the levels where they justified the drastic fee increase.
It more and more looks like they are profiting on it, and would not bring them down anytime soon, if ever.
