Absolute scarcity

I honestly sometimes believe no one in this sub truly understands absolute scarcity, including myself.. it’s something humans have never witnessed. We still havnt. The effects of absolute scarcity have not kicked in yet. When 15-30% of the world starts to regularly hodl satoshis.. we will then begin to witness the effects of absolute scarcity.

There are over 55+ million millionaires on this planet today. There are only ever going to be 21 million bitcoin. That means if every millionaire wanted to buy a full bitcoin… they couldn’t. They couldn’t even get half of 1.

There are over 8 billion people on this planet.

There’s is estimated to be anywhere from 3-6 million Bitcoin lost.. forever. So let’s say 3 just to be modest.

Satoshis wallet has 1 million btc in it. That’s one wallet…. That means 1 million less people will ever be able to own a full Bitcoin.

There’s, ark, micro strategy, the pioneers, Tesla, pay pal, and many more companies that own 100k plus bitcoin…

So idk the exact amount of btc held blah blah blah. I’m not going to pull up every stat that changes every day.

But for shits and giggles let’s say there’s a total of 18million btc remaining.. and we reach 25% of earths population hodling bitcoin.. that would be roughly 2 billion people…. Remember just a quarter of the world participating in absolute scarcity… that would evenly divide to 0.009 btc for that 25%

But it’s not evenly dispersed.. most bitcoin is already being held. I think like 17 million or something. Maybe higher idk. Anyways most of it’s already all bought and being held. And only less than 3% of the world is in…

So… do I think 0.25 btc is a lot? It’s a shit ton… by time the world realizes what they should be buying. There isn’t going to be any.

When people wake up in 15 years and go to the gas station and pay 17$ for a bottle of water… they’re going to look for something to turn to. Whether it’s gold, silver, oil, btc… good on them. They’ve learned to get rid of the melting ice cube known as the dollar and trade it for real money. But because of bitcoins absolute scarcity… it will be the best performing money. It will be the easiest money. It will be the safest money. It will be the most transparent and trusted money.

I’m not saying Bitcoin will become a global day to day currency. But I know it will become a global reserve currency. There can be more than one. Idk if it will be the only one. But it will be one.

Again though.. due to absolute scarcity combined with security… I believe it will become the main global reserve currency. And at that point… a lot more than 25% of the world will be holding btc.. When this happens I think people like us are going to even be shocked at what absolute scarcity looks like.
