What to tell family/friends

I bought in just over 10 years ago and all of my close circle of friends/family know about my stack.

Dumb mistake...I know

I'm now trying to conjure up a story as to why I can't access my btc and help them out of the trouble that they're in.

"I lost the seed phrase" won't work. They'll know that I'll have jumped off of a bridge if that happened.

"I put it in a trust that can't be accessed for 10 years no matter what " could work but I don't even know what that meansπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Any tips to keep those in the know from shaking me down??
