Well let's check that and get a real estimate for the number of people in this exclusive club. We know that there will only ever be 21,000,000 in circulation. However, there are 16,724,975 in circulation as of 12/5/17 according to the most recent data from blockchain[dot]info. We know from recent studies that there are many bitcoins that are lost forever.
